RIMAT - Rencontres Internationales de Musique Ancienne en Trégor
The RIMAT association breathes life into early music throughout the Trégor region, and its influence extends nationwide.
The European Early Music Days in March, the Printemps de Lanvellec in May, the Déambulations Baroque in the summer and the Festival de Lanvellec in October bring the region’s architectural heritage to life throughout the year.
RIMAT welcomes young professional musicians as well as groups renowned throughout Europe, mini-concerts for young audiences as well as operas.
Lanvellec church boasts a unique organ by English organ builder Robert Dallam, dating from 1653 and listed as a historic monument. Considered a veritable jewel of Baroque music, this unique piece of work is the inspiration behind the Association des Rencontres Internationales de Musique Ancienne en Trégor, its festivals and its Académie.
