Le Kalon Menez Are
Kalon Menez Are is a walking trail in the heart of the Monts d’Arrée; it is one of the four loops of the GR® de Pays des Monts d’Arrée.
On the itinerary: 100 kilometres through moorland, peat bogs and woodland, offering a tourist experience that respects the areas it passes through and contributes to the region’s sustainable development and appeal!
From Yeun Ellez to Lac du Drennec, from the ridges of the Monts d’Arrée to the Huelgoat Forest, passing through several village centres (Plounéour-Ménez, Botmeur, Commana, Brasparts, Sizun…), the full circuit, covering around 100 kilometres, can also be broken down into shorter loops lasting from 2 to 3 days, up to 5 days or more.
The loop around Huelgoat will appeal to families thanks to its wooded setting, whilst the Roc’h Trévézel and Montagne Saint-Michel loops offer ridges, moorland and wooded countryside to walkers seeking wide open spaces.
A great way to get started with multi-day hiking!
